If you, or someone you know, have been recently diagnosed with COVID-19, please quarantine yourself at home to prevent the spread and wait for Marion Public Health to contact you.

Marion Public Health cannot do any case investigation until we have the official lab results on your diagnosis, which can take several days after your initial testing. After we receive those results, someone from Marion Public Health will be in contact with you as soon as we are able.

We understand that this wait can be inconvenient, but in the meantime please isolate yourself and quarantine any direct contacts that have been within 6 feet for 15 minutes or more, going back to 2 days prior to when your symptoms began.

Effective December 4, 2020, Marion Public Health will no longer quarantine close contacts.  We ask that, when you receive your positive diagnosis, you reach out to those you have been in contact with to make them aware and ask them to quarantine.

Effective December 4, 2020, Marion Public Health will no longer issue letters to quarantine or isolate.

This includes return to work letters, school letters and other forms of written verification.

If you have additional questions, you can leave a message on our COVID-19 hotline (740-692-9120) and someone will return your call as soon as possible.
For any medical emergency, please call 911.
